By car
Crianlarich is at the junction of the A85 (Perth-Oban) and A82 (Glasgow-Inverness) roads, and so is very well signed.
From the South (A82): enter the village, turn right on to the A85 (towards Lochearnhead) and then right again (signed to the youth hostel, station tea room and shop).
From the North (A82): enter the village, ignore the A85 junction on the right, and take the next road on the right.
From the East (A85): Station Road is the first road on the left after entering the village.
For detailed route descriptions, we suggest entering the hostel's postcode (FK20 8QN) into AA route planner.
By train
Crianlarich station is only 1 minute away from the hostel - just bear right as you leave the platform. Scotrail trains from Glasgow Queen Street station to Oban and Mallaig (via Fort William) all stop in Crianlarich - there are around 4-5 trains a day.
The West Highland line is known as the most scenic rail route in the UK - the photo shows a train crossing the River Fillan viaduct as it enters Crianlarich from Mallaig, with Ben More in the background.
By bus
There are bus services linking Crianlarich to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Oban, Fort William (and Skye), Perth, etc. Buses are operated by Citylink. The two bus stops in the village are 5 minutes walk from the hostel.
