Accommodation and facilities
The hostel's facilities are outlined below - information about local amenities can be found on a separate page. The hostel is open all day - the latest check-in time is normally 11.45pm.

All bedding is provided, and towels are available for hire. The hostel has a total of 59 beds, primarily in single-sex 6-bed dormitories. In addition, there are three smaller rooms specifically designed to cater for families and couples, two of which are en-suite. There are separate men's and women's toilets and showers, and sinks are fitted in all of the rooms.
The three-bed ensuite room is wheel-chair friendly (including shower and toilet), and the entrance and communal rooms of the hostel are wheel-chair accessible.
Although dormitories are usually single-sex, exceptions can be made for groups who can take all the beds in a particular room. Please note also that family rooms are very popular, particularly in the high season, so booking ahead is advisable.

The hostel is self-catering, and has a large, well-equipped kitchen for guests to use. The kitchen has two big fridges, a microwave, water-boiler, 6 sets of gas hobs (with 4 or 5 hobs per set), two ovens and two grills. There are also shelves for storing food. We provide a wide range of pans, cutlery, crockery, mugs, glasses and most kitchen utensils. We have a compost bin and recycling facilities for glass, tins, paper and some plastics.

There is a spacious dining area (photo below) with seating for ~55 people, and a common room (photo right) with easy chairs, board games and a television.
Because the majority of our guests are in Crianlarich for outdoor activities, a boot-room and drying room are provided, as well as a cycle shed for bikes. We also have a coin operated washer and tumble-dryer.
There are plenty of parking spaces at the front of the hostel.

The hostel has a small range of items for sale (for example maps), although the shop in the village is a better bet for buying food.
As part of SYHA Hostelling Scotland we are able to "book-a-bed-ahead" (i.e. book accommodation for guests in any of the other 63 Scottish youth hostels). The hostel is also well-stocked with information leaflets about local attractions, and travel information.
There is a public phone and internet access available in the hostel.
