There are two major map makers in the UK: Harvey and Ordnance Survey (OS). OS have maps covering the entire UK, where as Harvey have concentrated on mapping the most popular areas for outdoor activities. There are differences in how features are represented, but to a large extent the choice is a matter of personal preference.

Harvey produce a 1:25,000 Crianlarich (Ben Lui and Ben More) map in their "Superwalker" series, covering all 11 munros which can be done as day walks from the hostel, and is available from reception.

In the OS 1:25,000 "Explorer" series, Crianlarich is close to the corner of 4 overlapping map sheets: 364 (covers most of the area, with the exception of Ben More and Stob Binnean), 365 (SE, including Ben More and Stob Binnean), 377 (NW, including Bridge of Orchy) and 378 (NE, including Killin).

Some people prefer 1:50,000 maps, which have less detail but can give a clearer impression of the key features. Three OS "Landranger" maps cover the area: 50 (Crianlarich and area West, including Beinn Dubhchraig, Ben Oss, Ben Lui and Beinn a'Chleibh), 56 (SW, including summits of Cruach Ardrain, Beinn Tulaichean, Beinn a' Chroin, An Caisteal and Beinn Chabhair), and 51 (NE, including Ben More, Stob Binnean and the Killin hills).
